The 8' extension is well built and will definitely come in handy for many applications. However, what I really needed is no longer available. When I first bought my system Thor's offered an RV set up which I didn't need at the time. I don't see that as an option any longer. With having a fullsize longbed pickup and 30' travel trailer, one must be creative to get air back to the trailer. Wish they had an additional plug and play you could attach to the end hose to add on for the added length.
The mount is awesome! Keeps everything tucked away and locked in place. Mountain holes fit perfect but the part where it attached to the roll bar didn’t line up. The anchor bolt had to go in at an angle and the bolts are holding it in place. The mount was just a bit lower than where the hole in the roll bar is at. I can send pics if necessary.
I was shocked at the fact the it took 5 1/2 minutes to fill (4) 33x12.50x18 tires from being flat (took the Schrader valve out) to 37 psi. As far as noise, its not much different than your everyday tire inflator that you get from a store. I chose this compressor based on the fact that this is the only one that i found on the market with a factory 5yr warranty, i did purchase the extended 2 yr warranty, the competition has a 2 or 3 yr factory warranty for about the same price, I went with the longer warranty for basically the same price (little variation)

Waited to submit my review until I used the system off-road. Everything worked great! The inflator chucks are super fast. Now I want to now why I was doing it the hard way for so many years. If you’re ordering Thor’s Lightning right before your next trip like most of us, don’t forget the triple A batteries.
