What a whirlwind month April proved to be for our business…as you all know, we attended the Moab 4X4 Expo during the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. We were absolutely smitten with talking to everyone about their Jeeps, their favorite trails, and favorite places to hang out in downtown Moab. On top of those awesome conversations, we attended invite-only events put on by BFGoodrich and Moab 4×4 Expo, during which we made numerous connections with other retailers, companies, and vendors. To be honest, I had no idea how tight-knit the aftermarket world for Jeeps is- and I absolutely love it.
Our first partnership that came out of Moab is with a little company called Power Tank. OK, maybe not so little, ha ha! For those of you that don’t know, Power Tank is considered to be the creme de la creme of compressed CO2 air systems. Picture beautifully colored tanks filled with CO2 that comes out at nearly 250-300 p.s.i. depending on the regulator it’s equipped with. The Power Tank systems are capable of airing up tires very quickly. However, until now, there’s not been a multi-tire air system that plays well with the Power Tank- and that’s where we come in. Through our use of high-diameter hybrid hose (that holds up REALLY well to cold temperatures), the high-flow air fittings, the high-flow lock-on tire chucks, and our amazing Thor’s Hammer manifold, our Air System becomes an utterly earth-shattering companion to the Power Tank system.
On top of the freakishly fast performance of the Power Tank and Thor’s Lightning Air System combination (think 45-65 seconds to air up ALL 4 tires at ONCE!), they look beautiful together! I was pretty pleased to see how the red and blue Thor’s Hammers looked perfectly matched to the Candy Red and Candy Blue Power Tanks. We were absolutely humbled that Power Tank selected us as a dealer, and encouraged a bundle of our Air System with their Power Tanks. So, big news…our website now has the Thor’s Lightning Power Tank Bundle available RIGHT NOW. I’m not trying to write this blog as an advertisement, but it’s hard to contain just how giddy I am that this is my reality: our Air System is bundled with one of the most respected names in the world of off-roading! HOT DAMN.
Onto the next partnership that came out of Moab: Strap Flap. When we were initially setting up our booth at the Moab 4×4 Expo, our neighbors were a little company out of Minnesota called Strap Flap. Interestingly, when us and the gentlemen at Strap Flap got to talking, we quickly realized that our products meshed incredibly well: their Strap Flap is perfect for managing large diameter air hoses and keeping them bundled together! Lo and behold, we formed a partnership with Strap Flap, and now carry their product on our website. Yet another amazing complement to the Air System that was borne out of Easter Jeep Safari 2022. Another cool thing about Strap Flap is they are made in the USA, and they are a small company like us…what’s not to like about that?!
The whole point of this blog is not to sound like an infomercial- I have repeatedly told everyone that I meet that I’m incredibly proud of the fact this blog is not the result of Artificial Intelligence that’s designed to maximize web traffic to the site (although that would probably be a smart thing to start doing?). This blog is the rambling of my thoughts and feelings about being an off-road enthusiast who has achieved his absolute dream of owning a company that gets to contribute to that world. I am still pinching myself to see if this all is actually a reality: having such amazing business partnerships, and being involved in the world of aftermarket parts manufacturers, retailers, and vendors. It truly is a dream coming true, and I want to thank each and every one of our customers for being a part of this, and I also want to thank everyone we spoke with at Moab 4×4 Expo: Steve and Keith with Power Tank, the guys at Strap Flap, and Jesse with Dana Spicer. I will continue to strive to make our company worthy of our customers, and of being partnered up with such amazing businesses. OK, I’m done being sappy. In the end, April was a badass month for Thor’s Lightning Air Systems, and May is starting out on a GREAT note (hint: we have been picked up by a major off-road 4×4 retailer in the Denver metro area), but that is all for the next blog…so stay tuned!
